This years Annual Town Meeting will take place from 7.00 pm on Monday 4th April and will feature a display of key moments during the Town Council’s first 25 years, as well as the Council’s Strategy, 2019-2024.

The winners of the Newbury Town Civic Awards 2022 were announced on 16th March 2022.

The ‘Newbury in Bloom 2022’ campaign is now underway, and you can start to plan your entry and register now!

The much-loved bandstand in Victoria Park needs a new roof. The Bandstand has been in the Park since 1937 and although still able to be used, the lead roof is now leaking. 

The Town Council is seeking your support to provide a new roof for the Bandstand.

The nomination period for the Young Persons Civic Award 2022 has been extended. You now have until Tuesday 22^nd February 5pm to nominate someone for the ‘Young Person’s Civic Award’

This year marks the 10^th anniversary of Grow Newbury Green’s first Community Orchard at Barn Crescent. On Sunday 13 March there will be a Community Planting Event starting at 10am and volunteers are very welcome. The event is in partnership with Newbury Town Council and supported by Newbury in Bloom.

Cllr Billy Drummond’s final charity event during his term as Mayor of Newbury will be a ‘Fundraising Banquet’ in aid of Newbury Speakability and the Mayor’s Benevolent Fund.

The black-tie event will take place on Saturday 9 April at the Chequers Hotel in Newbury.
