VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

NHS COMMEMORATIVE GARDEN TO BE PLANTED AT OLD HOSPITAL GREEN

On Sunday 18 April 2021 between 10am and 2pm Newbury Town Council’s Green Spaces Working Group will be planting a new

NHS Commemorative Garden at Old Hospital Green, Andover Road.

BOOKING YOUR PLACE IS ESSENTIAL 

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER!

All of the plants have medicinal properties or are cultivars of medicinal plants.  The planting includes some of the following:

Hamamelis - witch hazel - a potent anti-inflammatory and antiviral

Symphytum - comfrey - healing bruises and sprains

Echinacea - for coughs, colds and respiratory infections

Alchemilla mollis - ladies mantle - spasms, “female complaints”

Nepeta - cat mint - calming nerves and congestions
