VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR SPRING BULB PLANTING AT RIVER WALK, TROUT WALK AND ORCHARDENE

On Sunday 17 November Newbury Town Council are asking the community to come along and help to plant 800 spring bulbs at River Walk, Trout Walk and Orchardene.

The bulbs will be traditional native spring flowers, including daffodils, wild garlic and crocuses.

Cllr Gary Norman, Leader of the Council said, “We are inviting local residents to come and take part by assisting the bulb planting. Newbury Town Council are sponsoring this event through our Green Spaces Working Group, so that there will be an additional display of colour in our open spaces in the future.”

If you would like to help plant the bulbs, we are asking volunteers to come along at 10am, meeting at the grassed area at River Walk.

Bring a trowel and some gloves if you have them, but if not, there’ll be some on the day you can borrow.
