VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR SPRING BULB PLANTING!

On Sunday 13 October Newbury Town Council are asking the community to come along and help to plant 1000 spring bulbs at Middle Close and Glendale Avenue.

The bulbs will be traditional native spring flowers, including daffodils, wild garlic and crocuses.

Cllr Gary Norman, Leader of the Council said, “We are inviting local residents to come and take part by assisting the bulb planting. Newbury Town Council are sponsoring this event in partnership with Newbury Friends of the Earth so that there will be an additional display of colour in our open spaces in the future.”

If you would like to help plant the bulbs, we are asking volunteers to come along at 10am, meeting at the grassed area on Glendale Avenue.

Bring a trowel and some gloves if you have them, but if not, there’ll be some on the day you can borrow.
