TOWN COUNCIL’S THIRD CLIMATE CHANGE WORKSHOP (HELD ON 15 MAY 2021) AVAILABLE TO VIEW ONLINE

Newbury Town Council’s third Climate Change Workshop was held on Saturday 15 May 2021.

The Workshop had a number of guest speakers including Susan Millington and Tony Hammond who are involved with the local ‘Lockdown Wood’ scheme. Their aim is to dedicate an entire wood to the memory of the difficult and painful period of the coronavirus pandemic by planting saplings in local areas. Goldwell Park and Barn Crescent have already been planted.

Lauretta Wright introduced the ‘Heat the Home Counties’ organisation (https://www.heatthehomecounties.org.uk) who can help with energy efficient grant funding for resident’s energy efficiency and savings.

Terena Plowright talked about the Greening Campaign http://www.greening-campaign.org/  and how you can get involved.
