Helping in the Hot Weather

The Met Office has predicted both high day and night temperatures over the next few days, with todays temperatures (Friday the 17th of June) reaching a high of 31 degrees.

During this time, it is especially important to consider your own health and wellbeing, but also important to consider those who are homeless as they are at particular risk of sever dehydration, heatstroke, or at worse death.

If you have concerns about someone rough sleeping and who may be experiencing difficulties in the hot weather, you can also report this through the StreetLink website or by calling 0300 500 0914.

If you think the person you are concerned about is in immediate danger or needs urgent care, please call 999.

If you would like more information about what you can do to prepare for the hot weather, please go to the West Berkshire Council webpage.
