Cllr Nigel Foot, former Mayor of Newbury, was delighted to announce his fundraising total in support of West Berkshire Homeless at the Town Council’s Mayor Making ceremony at the weekend.

After a year-long effort, the former Mayor was pleased to announce that the grand total from his fundraising efforts came to £2603.11!

Newbury Town Council will be holding a Family Day in Victoria Park on Sunday 19 May from 12 noon to 4pm.  The Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Andy Moore will be officially opening the event at noon.

Victoria Park is set to become a hub for fitness enthusiasts and beginners too, with the unveiling of a new outdoor fitness facility. The Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Nigel Foot will be officially opening the new exercise equipment on Thursday 18 April at 11am and would like to encourage residents to come along and take a look

The Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Nigel Foot is inviting everyone to put their knowledge to the test by taking part in a Charity Quiz Night. The Mayor is inviting teams of up to 6 people to take part in the quiz on Friday 12^th April taking place in the Council Chamber commencing at 7pm.

Newbury Town Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Tobias Miles-Mallowan (Toby) as its next CEO, succeeding Hugh Peacocke, who stepped down at the end of December after 7 years of dedicated service.

The ‘Newbury in Bloom 2024’ campaign is now underway, and you can start to plan your entry and register now! The closing date for entries is 26 May 2024 and the judging for the competition will take place week commencing 17 June 2024.

The Annual Newbury Town Civic Awards presentation took place on Wednesday 13^th March 2024. They included the Newbury Town Civic Award, the Newbury Town Young Person’s Civic Award, the Newbury Town Business Civic Award, the Newbury Town Environmental Contribution Award, and new for 2024, the Newbury Town Local Community Group Civic Award

Newbury Town Crier, Brian Sylvester has announced that he will be retiring from his role after 25 years of service to the Town.
