The Town Council’s public consultation on the proposal to raise a loan of up to £300,000 for a new community café has been extended until the end of August.

The Mayor of Newbury has launched a year long fundraising campaign in support of his chosen charity. Cllr Billy Drummond announced the launch of the ‘One in 100 Fundraising Campaign’ on Saturday 31^st July as part of a charity coffee morning for Newbury Speakabilty.

Newbury Town Council has been named a finalist in the National Association of Local Council’s (NALC) Star Council Awards 2021 and we are in the running for the Council of the Year award.

The Town Council’s public consultation on the proposal to raise a loan of up to £300,000 for a new community café closes this week, on 31 July.

Newbury Town Council’s annual Mayor Making ceremony took place on Sunday 27^th June.  

The event celebrated the election of the new Mayor & Deputy Mayor in front of local dignitaries, organisations and their friends and family. 

Newbury Town Council has awarded a total of £13,395 to 19 local charities to support them in their work for the community in Newbury.

The Town Council expects to receive planning permission shortly for the long-awaited Community Café in Victoria Park.
