The future of the competition standard Skatepark in Victoria Park is under threat by continued vandalism. The Skatepark was officially opened in 2012 and it is extremely popular with not only local residents but BMX and Skateboarders who come from miles around to use the facility.

Newbury Town Council’s fourth Climate Change Workshop will be held on Saturday 25 September 2021 at St John’s Church and Hall at 2pm. Everyone is welcome and no booking is required.

Defibrillators have been installed on the football changing room buildings at both Wash Common Recreation Ground and City Recreation Ground.  

Enterprise Car Club is now the official car club provider in Newbury, working in collaboration with West Berkshire Council.

Newbury Town Council has been named a finalist in the National Association of Local Council’s (NALC) Star Council Awards 2021 and we are in the running for the Council of the Year award.

The Environment Agency's Thames Valley Flood Scheme consultation ends this Friday. 

On Tuesday 31^st August, the Mayor of Newbury is inviting families to come and take part in a Teddy Bears Picnic to raise money for the Mayor’s Benevolent Fund and his chosen charity.

We are asking for volunteers to meet at the meadow in City Recreation Ground on Sunday 5^th September at 10am and at the Victoria Park Bandstand on Sunday 19^th  September at 10am to help cut the wildflower meadow, disperse the seed heads and prepare the area so that next summer it will look beautiful once again.
