NEW OUTDOOR FITNESS EQUIPMENT FOR VICTORIA PARK – FREE FOR EVERYONE!
Victoria Park is set to become a hub for fitness enthusiasts and beginners too, with the unveiling of a new outdoor fitness facility. The Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Nigel Foot will be officially opening the new exercise equipment on Thursday 18 April at 11am and would like to encourage residents to come along and take a look.
Designed to provide residents and visitors with a convenient and accessible space for exercise, the facility promises to improve fitness opportunities in the heart of our community.
"We are thrilled to introduce the new outdoor exercise equipment to Victoria Park," said Cllr Gary Norman, Leader of the Council. "This project reflects our commitment to promoting health and well-being within our community. The existing equipment had been in place for a number of years and was effectively worn out because of its high level of usage.
Hopefully, the new equipment will be used by regular exercisers as well as encouraging others to give it a go."
The outdoor gym features state-of-the-art equipment carefully selected to cater to a variety of exercise preferences and fitness goals. Users can enjoy creating their own routine while soaking in the natural beauty of the park.
In addition to promoting physical health, the new facilities aim to foster a sense of community among park visitors. Whether exercising solo or with friends, visitors to Victoria Park can enjoy the shared experience of pursuing their fitness aspirations in a welcoming and inclusive environment. It is open to the public free of charge and accessible during regular park hours. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, towels, and any other personal items they may need.
