MAYOR’S FESTIVE AFTERNOON TEA

The Mayor of Newbury is inviting the town’s oldest residents to join him for a Festive Afternoon Tea Party.

Following on the success of last year’s event, the Mayor wanted to make the most of the opportunity to be able to give back to Newbury’s oldest residents during his mayoral year.

Cllr Andy Moore said, “I’m very excited to be hosting this event following the success of last year’s get together.”

The event will take place on Tuesday 17th December from 2pm in Newbury St Nicolas Church Hall. Guests will be served an afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones and sweet treats along with a cup of tea and a festive tipple.

Places for this event are limited to ticketed entry, therefore booking is essential which will be on a first come, first served basis. Please note that guests should be over the age of 75 years and will be required to arrange their own transport to and from the church hall.

To reserve your place, contact the Mayor’s Office supplying your name, date of birth, postal address along with any dietary requirements. Tickets will be posted to your address which will confirm your reservation.
