MAYOR’S COLOURING COMPETITION NOW OPEN!
The Mayor of Newbury is excited to announce a fun colouring-in competition, perfect for keeping children entertained during the summer holidays. The competition not only sparks children’s creativity but also supports a great cause.
The Mayor, Cllr Andy Moore, expressed enthusiasm about the competition, saying, "I am delighted to invite the young people of Newbury to take part in this competition. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to express their creativity, while contributing to a worthy cause, and I can’t wait to see the colourful masterpieces that will be submitted."
The competition is open to all children under the age of 16 years old, and the winner will receive a £20 book token—a great prize to help them get ready for the new school term.
All entries will be considered and the Mayor will personally select the winning artwork.
Children are invited to collect a special colouring worksheet from the Town Hall, where they colour in a picture of Bartholomew Bear, the Mayor’s Bear, with their most imaginative designs.
Upon returning their entry to the Town Hall, entrants must give a small entry fee of £1 to go with their colouring sheet which will be donated to the Mayor’s chosen Charity, West Berks Foodbank. Entries and payment must be made no later than Friday 30th August 2024.
