West Berkshire, along with large parts of the South East and the whole of London, has moved into Tier 4 restrictions from Sunday 20 December.

The move follows an announcement by the Prime Minister on Saturday (19 December) and means that tougher restrictions have been introduced in response to a rapidly rising level of coronavirus infections.

The main gates (off Shaw Hill B4009) will be open for vehicle access for families throughout the Christmas & New Year period.

The Cromwell Road gates open for pedestrian access only, to allow residents in the area to walk into the Cemetery.

TIER 2 RESTRICTIONS & GUIDANCE

West Berkshire Council has appointed a multi-disciplinary team to undertake a major new study into the future uses of Newbury Town Centre. Led by HemingwayDesign, the team includes New Masterplanning, GL Hearn and Urban Movement.

We are proud to have a policy of planting 2 new trees for each mature tree we have to remove due to disease, damage etc. 48 were removed from Wash Common in the last year, so we wanted to plant 100 new ones to replace them
