Newbury Town Council has awarded a total of £10,440 to 12 local charities to support them in their work for the community in Newbury.  

On Friday 15^th July the Leader of the Council, Cllr Martin Colston and three friends will attempt to ride 500km (300 miles) in 24 hours in aid of Eight Bells for Mental Health.

Newbury Town Council invested Cllr Nigel Foot as Deputy Mayor of Newbury at the meeting of Full Council on Monday 27^th June. 

After an absence of 15 years, Art on the Park returns to Victoria Park this August Bank Holiday.

Newbury Town Council’s Heritage Working Group will resume its very popular ‘Explore Newbury’ heritage walking tours in July.

The Met Office has predicted both high day and night temperatures over the next few days, with todays temperatures (Friday the 17^th of June) reaching a high of 31 degrees.

Newbury Town Council held a Family Day in Victoria Park on Sunday 12 June and there was a huge turn out of people who came along to enjoy the free activities in the sunshine with the Mayor of Newbury, Cllr Gary Norman kicking off the fun at noon.

As part of their 25^th Anniversary celebrations, Newbury Town Council is hosting three opportunities to take part in events to learn more about Newbury’s history by walking or cycling the town boundaries.
