Newbury Town Council has taken the decision to temporarily close Bodin Gardens Playground following significant vandalism to the safety surfacing and fencing

Victoria Park & City Recreation Ground have once again been recognised as two of the finest green spaces, having retained their prestigious Green Flag Award for 2026/27

Newbury Market welcomed visitors and their four-legged friends to its very first Pet Day on Saturday, with the Market Place filled with wagging tails, happy owners and plenty of community spirit.

Residents are being encouraged to consider standing for election as a Newbury Town Councillor in the local elections taking place in May 2027.

Newbury Market is set to go barking mad on Saturday 1st August as it hosts its very first Pet Day, inviting animal lovers and their four-legged companions to enjoy some pet themed fun at our regular Saturday Charter Market in the Market Place. 

Local residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and help showcase the best of Newbury during a community clean-up event scheduled for Saturday 18 July ahead of the Thames and Chiltern in Bloom campaign entry by Newbury.

Update on the Wash Common Recreation Ground car park. We are seeking volunteers who may be willing to help open and close the gate on a regular basis.
