On Thursday 3 August Newbury Market will be kicking off its ‘Music on the Market’ season with ‘The King and I’, a local Elvis tribute act who have a great following through their performances as the part of the band, ‘Trouble’. They will be performing Elvis favourites in the Market Place from 11am.
The ‘Music on the Market’ promotion continues with Danica Trim, a local singer/songwriter who will be entertaining shoppers on Saturday 5 August.
To add to the entertainment on Thursday 17th August we’ll have a face painter in the Market Place from ‘Sunny Faces’ available for just £1 per face for adults and children to enjoy and on Saturday 19th a Ukulele band will be playing.
Cllr Miles Evans, Deputy Leader of the Council said, “We are excited about the newly launched ‘Music on the Market’ events and encourage everyone to come along, discover what your local Market has to offer and enjoy the fun!”
If you play an instrument, love to sing or are in a band or a choir and would like to apply to come to perform on the Market please contact Caroline Edmunds at Newbury Town Council on 01635 35486 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
