Newbury In Bloom
Entry Closing Soon

Newbury Town Council reminds all those interested that entries for this year’s ‘Newbury in Bloom” campaign close on 30 June.

The 6 categories for 2017 are:

  • Primary School Garden
  • Place of Worship Garden
  • Public House/Restaurant/Small Business
  • Allotment
  • Almshouses
  • Community Projects

Newbury in Bloom leaflets/entry forms are available from the Town Hall in the Market Place or they can be downloaded from the Newbury Town Council website

Entrants into each category will be invited to the prize-giving evening where a certificate of thanks will be awarded alongside trophies and vouchers from the sponsors to the category winner.

As in previous years the Town Council has put up over 100 hanging baskets throughout the Town with many businesses taking up the offer of our fully maintained baskets to add a real show of colour to their premises.

“We were so pleased with the enthusiasm of the entries for last year’s event and this is an opportunity for everyone to help make Newbury look its absolute best” said Councillor Sarah Greenall, Chairperson of the Newbury In Bloom Working Group “We encourage everyone to take part and make the campaign even more of a success for 2017.”

Closing date for entries is 30 June 2017 and the judging for the competition will take place from 10 – 16 July.  For further information, entry forms and details of sponsorship opportunities, contact James Heasman at Newbury Town Council on 01635 35486, email or see our website
