19 Jun NEWBURY BID LAUNCH WEB PAGE DEDICATED TO THE REOPENING OF SHOPS AND BUSINESSES IN THE TOWN CENTRE
Newbury’s Business Improvement District (BID) is pleased to announce the launch of its ‘Open for Business’ web page, providing a single source of information for visitors to Newbury town centre as non-essential shops and businesses begin to reopen.
The BID’s Operations Manager, Alison Drummond, explains “Great care has been taken to prepare the town centre for the reopening of non-essential shops and businesses, with signs and stickers clearly displayed throughout the town to help visitors stay safe and maintain social distancing. We want to reassure the public that it is safe to return to the town centre, and we want to make it easy for shoppers to plan their trip.
Our new web page provides a summary of which shops and businesses have reopened, or are due to reopen soon, and signposts visitors to further information about opening times and the safety measures in place. We have already seen an increased buzz around town this week, and we’re delighted to be supporting our businesses to begin to safely serve their customers again.”
Newbury BID’s Senior Town Ranger, Shaun, is on hand throughout the week to provide support to the town’s visitors and to ensure queues are well managed. As additional businesses reopen and even more shoppers return, the BID will be updating their dedicated web page and providing further support to businesses and visitors to the town.
The BID’s dedicated web page can be found at: https://visitnewbury.org.uk/open-for-business/. Any businesses who are missing from the list can email the BID at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the BID team on 01635 760505 to be included.
